Does Princess Eugenie’s Newborn Daughter Get a Royal Title?

Princess Eugenie has welcomed a little princess, but will she be officially bestowed the royal title?
Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank announced the birth of their third child, a baby girl, this week. The new addition joins big brothers August, 5, and Ernest, 3.
The couple did not immediately share the name of their daughter, but it’s not expected that the baby will be styled as a princess like her mother.
Princess Eugenie, 36, received her princess title and Her Royal Highness (HRH) styling at birth because she is the daughter of the former Prince Andrew, the son of the late Queen Elizabeth. Under rules set by King George V in 1917, children and male-line grandchildren of a British sovereign automatically receive the royal titles.
However, none of Princess Eugenie’s three children received royal titles. Eugenie’s sons are styled as “Master August Brooksbank” and “Master Ernest Brooksbank,” and her baby girl will likely be referred to as “Miss” with her first and last name. Similarly, the daughters of Princess Eugenie’s older sister, Princess Beatrice, are styled as “Miss Sienna Mapelli Mozzi” and “Miss Athena Mapelli Mozzi,” using their father’s surname.
Princess Eugenie is not a working member of the royal family and has a private career, and she did not receive any new titles when she married Jack in 2018. Jack is simply known as “Mr. Brooksbank,” while Eugenie has stylized her name as “Princess Eugenie, Mrs. Jack Brooksbank” since the nuptials.
Despite not having royal titles, Princess Eugenie’s three children are all in the line of succession to the throne. Princess Eugenie is currently in the 12th spot in the line of succession, followed by her three children in order of their birth, making her daughter 15th in the line of succession.
Although the former Prince Andrew was second in line to the throne upon his birth, he has moved down to the eighth spot after King Charles had children and grandchildren. The King stripped his younger brother of his royal honors and titles last year amid renewed scrutiny over his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. (Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.)
Andrew, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, remains in the line of succession, and his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, were not affected by the change.
Princess Eugenie welcomed her third child on Aug. 3, and the British royal family’s social media pages announced the news the following day, sharing a new photo of the baby wearing a pink onesie and a hat.
The official announcement said, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at 6:20 pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. The baby was born weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces.”
“Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news,” the statement continued.

Princess Eugenie also shared the same photo on her personal Instagram page, writing, “Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie.”
