Zendaya Takes Inspiration from Halle Berry with New Pixie Hairstyle at 2026 Emmys

The actress, who is already topping best dressed lists, was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in ‘Euphoria’

Zendaya is turning heads at the 78th Emmy Awards.

The 30-year-old actress wowed the crowd in a custom Prada gown decked out in what appeared to be silver sequins and appliqués, detailed with sheer white fabric at the low-cut neckline, and complete with a mini train. It was paired with a Rolex watch and Mikimoto jewelry, including earrings with 4.40 carats’ worth of diamonds and rings with diamonds that altogether valued at over 5 carats.

Zendaya, styled by Law Roach, let the dress do the talking, but her new hair was also the star of the show. After taking a break from her press tours for The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, she came with a hair makeover in the form of a chic pixie.

Pictures of the trendsetter’s new look were first revealed on social media. Prior to attending the Emmys, Zendaya appeared at the Prada Paradoxe Photo Studio pop-up in New York City with her updated hairdo.

At television’s biggest night, her hair was done in an effortless “piecey” style with texture and lift. It showcased her statement-making earrings and her natural glam done with pink blush and complementary lipstick.

“For Zendaya, the inspiration is a classic pixie reimagined through a modern, editorial lens,” hairstylist Coree Moreno said in a press release. The pro used ghd styling products to get Zendaya’s hair into a “feminine and refined” look with a “little rebellion.” Roach also confirmed that Zendaya’s hair was inspired by Halle Berry’s nostalgic and famous cut.

Zendaya’s red carpet appearance comes after headline-making press runs for her films The Odyssey, The Drama and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Her last movie of the year, Dune: Part Three, comes out in December. Along with her longtime stylist Law Roach, the star embraced method dressing yet again for her press tours.

This is the third time Zendaya has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Euphoria. She won on both previous occasions, in 2020 and 2022.

Zendaya made history upon landing her second Emmy nomination for her leading role as Rue Bennett in the HBO series, making her the youngest two-time acting nominee and winner. The actress and singer, who is also an executive producer on the show, told Vanity Fair that she was “overwhelmed” by her four nominations this year.

“Thank you to the Academy, thank you to my friends and family, some of which are here tonight,” Zendaya said in her 2022 acceptance speech. “Thank you to Sam [Levinson] for sharing Rue with me, thank you for believing in me even in moments where I didn’t believe in myself.”

In August, Zendaya and Tom Holland hosted a private party celebrating their wedding after getting married earlier this year, a source told PEOPLE.

The couple joined friends and family at Beaverbrook Hotel, a luxury country house hotel, in Surrey, U.K., which boasts 56 rooms and suites and sits on 370 acres. The sprawling estate is located near Holland’s hometown of Kingston upon Thames, South West London.
