Jay-Z Joins Wife Beyoncé and Raps Sexy Lyrics on New Remix of Her Latest Single ‘Morning Dew (Donk)’

The Carters are back together for a new track.
Last month, Beyoncé surprise dropped the previously unreleased, fan-favorite song “Morning Dew (Donk)” to commemorate the upcoming 20th anniversary of her B’Day album. On Wednesday, Aug. 6, Queen Bey released a new remix of the track featuring her husband, Jay-Z.
The original song features Beyoncé singing lyrics about romance and sex, which Jay-Z amplifies in his verse on the remix. “We know what that night did / Let’s see what that morning do,” raps the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, who adds later in the song, “We just makin’ love, we just gettin’ rich / Y’all keep doin’ that, we keep doin’ this.”
“Morning Dew (Donk) Remix” also incorporates samples of Sheck Wes’ chart-topping 2017 hit “Mo Bamba” as well as the Isley Brothers’ “Between the Sheets,” which was famously sampled in the past on the Notorious B.I.G.’s 1994 classic “Big Poppa.”
The original version of “Morning Dew (Donk)” was written by Beyoncé with Pharrell Williams, The-Dream and Darius Dixon, while the track was produced by the Destiny’s Child alum and Williams, 53.
The song’s release on July 4 marked the beginning of a 60-day countdown to Beyoncé’s next birthday as well as a forthcoming reissue of B’Day. The jam serves as “a direct nod to her loyal BeyHive to commemorate the upcoming epic celebration of B’DAY,” according to a press release.
B’Day was originally released on Sept. 4, 2006. The album features hit singles including “Déjà Vu” with Jay-Z, “Ring the Alarm,” “Irreplaceable” and “Get Me Bodied.”

The spouses’ “Morning Dew (Donk) Remix” arrives after Beyoncé joined Jay-Z as a surprise guest at the first of his three concerts at Yankee Stadium in New York City, where she performed Mary J. Blige’s part on “Can’t Knock the Hustle” as well as a snippet of “Love on Top.”
Beyoncé’s last album, Cowboy Carter, was released in March 2024.
