Ahead of its Aug. 7 theatrical release following its Sundance Film Festival, premiere in January, Cookie Queens has unveiled a new trailer. “Every Girl Scout makes a goal and tries to accomplish it or go past it,” explains Shannon Elizabeth in the new clip. Later, she can be heard rallying the troops: “We can’t stop now!”

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first-ever appearance at Sundance to help introduce the doc at its premiere, Meghan, 44, said that on behalf of herself, Harry, 41, and their company Archewell Productions, they were “so proud and privileged to help support and uplift” the film. Meghan was a Girl Scout while growing up in California, with her mother, Doria Ragland, serving as her troop leader.

“Yes, it’s probably the cutest film at the festival,” she added. “But I’m also going to go out on a limb and say it’s one of the most powerful and meaningful depictions of an American tradition.”

Asked for a favorite Girl Scout cookie, Meghan went for a classic. “I’m a Thin Mints,” she told PEOPLE. “As a Girl Scout, it was always the one that sold the fastest, so I think you remember it for that reason too.”

Nahmias said at the time that Cookie Queens resonated deeply with her as a parent — a sentiment Meghan echoed. “For me as a mom — and with my kids asking me to make a film that they and their friends would really want to watch — I hope it sparks conversations about what it means to grow up today, and opens up questions that can be difficult to have,” the director said. “About the pressures that kids can feel from parents and society, especially girls — how we’re perceived, what our value is, and how we participate in the economy and in society.”
