Rachel Brosnahan Celebrates 10 Years of Marriage with Husband Jason Ralph by Sharing Rare Wedding Photos

Rachel Brosnahan and Jason Ralph are celebrating a special milestone in their marriage.

On Saturday, June 6, the Superman actress shared rare photos on Instagram from the couple’s 2016 wedding day, along with the simple caption: “10 🤍.”

One photo shows the two walking arm-in-arm down a street. Brosnahan, 35, is wearing a cream sleeveless lace dress, while Ralph, 40, is sporting a suit jacket and matching shorts with a patterned button-down shirt.

A number of Brosnahan’s famous friends shared their anniversary well-wishes in the comments, including her Superman costar Maria Gabriela de Faria, who wrote, “Not an easy thing to achieve in this world ❤️ all the happiness to you both.” The movie’s director, James Gunn, commented, “❤️❤️❤️ Congrats!”

Brosnahan revealed in a 2022 interview with Town & Country that she and Ralph met in 2013 on the set of the indie movie I’m Obsessed with You: But You’ve Got to Leave Me Alone. They attended their first public event together in February 2015, stepping out to the opening night of The Lion at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre in New York City.

That March, the couple cuddled up at a screening of Aziz Ansari: Live at Madison Square Garden, and Brosnahan was photographed giving Ralph a sweet kiss on the cheek.

The pair first sparked marriage rumors in 2018 when they attended the Emmy Awards together and were spotted wearing matching bands on their left ring fingers. The actress confirmed their marriage at the 2019 SAG Awards, sharing that she and Ralph had actually “been married for years.”

Brosnahan also explained her choice to avoid discussing her marriage publicly in a statement to PEOPLE.

“I’ve been quite private about my personal life for a few reasons. The first being that it’s just that — personal,” she said. “Jason and I also noticed early on that, while we are both the leads of successful television series, he has almost never been asked about our relationship, while I have been asked on almost every red carpet I have walked in the last two years. We both find this double standard problematic and frustrating and opted to redirect those conversations to our work.”

In 2021, Ralph joined the cast of Brosnahan’s hit series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. He played a recurring role as Mike Carr, a TV show booker and producer for the fictional Gordon Ford Show, in the fourth and fifth seasons.

Brosnahan told Entertainment Tonight that she initially felt “intimidated” by the idea of filming with Ralph again.

“I was so intimidated because we haven’t worked together since we met, 10 years ago I guess now, so I was really nervous for him to actually see me doing this up close, and come into my world, but it was amazing,” she said.

“When we were shooting the show, we spent more time with our crew and with the cast than we do with our families sometimes, so it was amazing to have him on,” she continued.

Brosnahan also joked that working with Ralph on the Prime Video series was “therapy” for them because their two characters clashed with each other.

“We got to be so mean to each other at work and call it a job,” she explained. “We had a lot of fun.”
