All About Hulk Hogan’s Daughter Brooke and Her Tumultuous Relationship with the Late WWE Star

On July 24, 2025, Hulk Hogan died at the age of 71. The late wrestling icon is survived by his family, including daughter Brooke Hogan.

Brooke is the elder child of Hulk (born Terrence Gene Bollea) and his first wife, Linda Hogan. The couple married in 1983 and welcomed their daughter in 1988, followed by their son, Nick, in 1990. Hulk and Linda would eventually divorce in 2009.

Brooke took after her dad athletically and eventually followed him into the spotlight. In addition to having a pop music career, she appeared in the family’s VH1 show Hogan Knows Best, which later led to her own reality series, Brooke Knows Best. Brooke also made appearances at wrestling-related events alongside Hulk.

Over the past decade, Brooke became estranged from her father, who was embroiled in several controversies, including criticism of a speech he gave supporting President Donald Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention.

Days after her father’s death, Brooke paid tribute to him in a post on Instagram, writing, “I know he’s at peace now, out of pain, and in a place as beautiful as he imagined.”

Since launching her interior design firm in 2018, Brooke has walked down the aisle, marrying retired NHL player Steven Oleksy in 2022. More recently, Brooke and Steven welcomed twins in January 2025.

Brooke did not participate in the four-part Netflix docuseries Hulk Hogan: Real American, released in April 2026 — but she is still staying busy with multiple projects. Aside from being a wife and mom, Brooke has also recently launched a line of wine, released new music and is competing on season 7 of HGTV’s Rock the Block.

She was born in 1988

Hulk and Linda welcomed Brooke Ellen Bollea on May 5, 1988, in Tampa, Fla.

Brooke has a younger brother, Nick Hogan (whose real name is Nicholas Anthony Bollea), who was born two years after her, in July 1990.

She is a singer who previously toured with Hilary Duff and the Backstreet Boys

Brooke had a music career in the early 2000s. She released her debut album, Undiscovered, in 2006, and the lead single, “About Us,” peaked at No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The performer went on to tour with other pop music artists like Hilary Duff and the Backstreet Boys.

In 2009, she released her sophomore album, The Redemption, and in the following years, she started leaning into the country genre.

Her country EP, I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend, was released in 2015. That same year, Brooke spoke to Entertainment Tonight about diversifying her musical portfolio.

“People always want to box you in and say well, what are you?” she said. “You have to be country, or you have to be pop, and I am like, what if I was raised on a bunch of music? What if I just love music?”

Brooke released another EP, So Many Summers, in 2018. Six years later, she debuted a string of country singles, including the tracks “Boomerang,” “Love People,” Don’t Know It Yet” and “Boys Trip.”

She starred on reality TV shows with Hulk

Brooke appeared with her dad on the reality TV series, Hogan Knows Best. The show aired for four seasons, from 2005 to 2007.

Following the cancellation of Hogan Knows Best, she led her own spinoff, Brooke Knows Best, which premiered in 2008.

“Brooke moves away from her parents and into a condo in Miami Beach, living life on her own for the first time,” the official description read, per TV Guide. “She enlists the help of two roommates to help make her time in Miami, well spent.”

Aside from reality TV, Brooke had a brief wrestling career. She made her debut in the ring during WWE’s “Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXIII” in 2006, and also appeared on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2012.

She is an interior designer who launched her own company in 2018

Brooke started her own design company, BB Designs by Brooke, in 2018.

According to the company’s website, “BB Designs by Brooke specializes in creating personalized, gorgeous designs for residential homes, and also provides fast, full-service installations for investment properties-making them competitive, stunning listings.”

She runs the Nashville-based firm with her friend, Ashley Menendez Kora, who is head of projects.

In a June 2025 appearance on Nashville’s WKRN News, Brooke spoke about the genesis of her company, crediting her grandmother for her interior design influence.

“I’m from a designer family … my grandmother is a big interior designer in L.A.,” she explained. “So we kind of grew up with, ‘Let’s move the couch at midnight’ kind of thing, so I had the eye for it.”

BB Designs by Brooke recently completed a renovation of the historic Starr Piano Building in downtown Nashville.

In April 2026, Brooke returned to reality TV, using her interior design skills while competing on season 7 of HGTV’s Rock the Block.

“I got called to do Rock the Block long before my dad passed. But obviously, I didn’t tell him that I had it because we weren’t talking,” she said during a confessional clip on the season premiere. “But I told my husband, I was like, ‘I wonder, I wonder if my dad would be proud knowing that I’m doing this.’ You know, ‘I wonder if…’ ”

She married former NHL player Steven Oleksy in 2022

Brooke is married to former NHL player Steven Oleksy. The two wed in 2022, but Brooke didn’t confirm the news of their nuptials until a January 2024 Instagram post.

“A rare sighting of the husband. We like to keep to ourselves, but somehow the news is out,” she wrote alongside a photo of her and Steven.

“So here he is, people: The kindest, sweetest badass you’ll ever meet. I’m really lucky. God did me a solid on this one,” Brooke continued. “Thank you for all the kind words of celebration and encouragement. We feel so blessed.”

Brooke and Steven are the parents of fraternal twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, whom they welcomed in January 2025.

“Our hearts have been made whole by the arrival of these two sweet souls we get to love. God is good,” she wrote on Instagram.

She and Hulk were estranged before his death

Brooke was estranged from her dad for years.

The subject resurfaced when her mom posted about it on social media in March 2025.

“It’s been 15, however long years since I left Hulk Hogan, and my family is the worst mess,” Linda said in a video posted to her Instagram Stories. “Brooke doesn’t talk to us. She had twins, she got married [and] she didn’t tell us.”

Brooke responded with her own Instagram post, explaining how her decision to have “no contact” with each of her parents was for “completely separate reasons” from each other.

“This also pertains to my dad’s second and third, now current wife,” she wrote. “This decision was made based purely on how they have each dealt with me directly my entire life.” 

Brooke didn’t attend Hulk’s wedding in September 2023, when he married his third wife, Sky Daily.

“For my own journey to healing and happiness, I have chosen to create some distance between myself and my family, and am focusing on people and things that heal my heart and align with my own personal beliefs, goals and values,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.

“I wish him well,” she concluded her statement.

She shared more details about her relationship with Hulk after he died

When Brooke shared a lengthy Instagram post in the days following Hulk’s death, not only did she pay tribute to her late father, but she also shared insight into what their relationship had been like in the final years of his life.

She wrote that in a “series of private phone calls” she had offered to be his “life raft,” even moving to Florida to be close to him as he underwent 25 surgeries, which she supported him through until “something shifted.”

“I felt a disconnect. What followed were respectful disagreements that took an emotional toll on me,” she wrote. “During the last two years, I had to step away to protect my heart.”

Despite her husband quietly “trying to find a safe way back in” to her dad’s life for Brooke, they weren’t able to reconcile before he died.

“I know in my heart I did everything I could,” she wrote. “He knew I would run through a burning building for him. And in many ways, along the path of life, I did. He knows how deeply, how hard and how purely I loved him. I am at peace knowing this.”

She chose not to go to Hulk’s funeral

Brooke shared another update on Instagram on the same day of her dad’s Aug. 5 funeral, explaining why she’d chosen not to attend alongside photos of her, Steven, and their twins at the beach.

“My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn’t want one,” Brooke wrote in her caption. “And although I know people grieve in many ways – and I’m so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him, as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how…privately…the way that made me feel the closest to him.” 

This meant that her family spent the day at the beach, paying tribute to Hulk in “the simplest way that agreed with my soul.”

“We love you and honor the things that made you so special,” she wrote. “Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you. I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you.”
