Fans don’t have to miss out on one to see the other, though. Thanks to how the 2026 Super Bowl and 2026 Puppy Bowl are scheduled, everyone can watch both TV events without missing a moment.

The adoptable dogs of Team Ruff and Team Fluff will face off in Puppy Bowl XXII on the same day that the Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots at Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8.

When is the 2026 Puppy Bowl?

The 2026 Puppy Bowl, the 22nd installment of the rescue animal event, will air on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT.

The 2026 Super Bowl kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET, which means Puppy Bowl fans can watch the entire three-hour special and then to switch to the NFL football game before the national anthem starts.

Which dogs are participating in the 2026 Puppy Bowl?

This year’s event will include over 150 rescue dogs from 72 shelters across the country (along with Puerto Rico and the British Virgin Islands) competing on Team Ruff and Team Fluff.

In addition, there will be 16 dogs in the starting lineup who will be vying for the title of “Most Pupular,” according to Discovery.com.

Is there a 2026 Puppy Bowl Halftime Show?

Per ESPN, the 2026 Puppy Bowl will include the event’s first halftime show exclusively featuring senior dogs to help shine a light on older dogs who often struggle more to find forever homes than puppies.

Team Goldies and Team Oldies will face off for the special number.

The Puppy Bowl, the longest running television event promoting pet adoption, will simulcast across Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, TBS, truTV, HBO Max and discovery+.
