The siblings came from an athletic background: Gary played in the NFL, as did their uncle, Dr\u00e9 Bly.<\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, all three Downs children became interested in sports. Kameron played soccer in college, while Josh is a wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts.<\/p>\n<p>The competitive environment helped make Caleb, the youngest sibling, the athlete he is today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust [Josh] making me tougher since I was a kid, and I feel like a lot of the things that shape who I am today is based off of me learning from him and watching how he succeeded, how he failed,\u201d Caleb said in a July 2025 interview on <a href=\"http:\/\/cleveland.com\/\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cleveland.com<\/a>\u2018s <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/fVUuP-JYgNg?si=914UU-zgAsEFMrCS\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Buckeye Talk<\/em><\/a> podcast. \u201cJust as a younger sibling that creates a lot of knowledge and wisdom and how you want to operate. Him being able to watch my high school career and me being able to watch him in college, not play his freshman year \u2026 and then his sophomore year taking off and doing everything he did,\u201d Caleb said on an August 2026 episode of <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/1fxj6Mv5Rmo?si=-igJQUtJ8_qlm30k\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>The Pivot Podcast<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI think we just both gained a lot of respect for each other through those encounters, and just seeing the transition of our lives happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Josh was ultimately drafted in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts, where he plays as a wide receiver.<\/p>\n<p>When his brother, Caleb, was drafted in the first round by the Dallas Cowboys in April 2026, Josh got emotional, telling ESPN\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SportsCenter\/status\/2047488110137651435\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><em>SportsCenter<\/em><\/a>, \u201cCould have been the fifth pick, could have been the first pick. He is the best player in the draft.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m emotional because he\u2019s always been the best player on the field, but I\u2019m excited and I play him this year, so we get to run it back from high school. Let\u2019s do it,\u201d he continued, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/cowboys\/onsi\/caleb-downs-shares-emotional-moment-brother-dallas-cowboys-draft-pick\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Sports Illustrated<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Josh and Caleb are set to face off against each other on Nov. 8, when the Cowboys and Colts hit the field during Week 9 of the NFL season.<\/p>\n<h2>Caleb and Josh host a podcast together<\/h2>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/people.com\/thmb\/brRYwcoBljmKzRSw1LJzU5mL_KE=\/fit-in\/1280x960\/josh-caleb-downs-the-madden-bowl-091026-2292282d6b9d4919b23c17e680f2ba5f.jpg\" alt=\"Josh and Caleb Downs.Credit: Kaitlyn Morris\/Getty\" title=\"Josh and Caleb Downs arrive at EA Sports presents The Madden Bowl at Orpheum Theater on February 07, 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana\" \/><figcaption><i>Josh and Caleb Downs.<br \/>Credit: Kaitlyn Morris\/Getty<\/i><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Since August 2025, Caleb and Josh have hosted the podcast <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@Downs2Business\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Downs 2 Business<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis isn\u2019t just a show, it\u2019s our real lives,\u201d Caleb said ahead of the podcast\u2019s launch, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/fannation\/college\/cfb-hq\/nil\/ohio-state-all-american-caleb-downs-announces-nil-podcast\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Sports Illustrated<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re bringing fans inside the game, the grind, and the off-the-field side that most people never see. <em>Downs 2 Business<\/em> is about keeping it honest, having fun, and showing what it really means to be an athlete today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The most recent episode, which was released in September 2026, featured an interview with Cowboys wide receiver <a class=\"recommendation-inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/ceedee-lamb-says-he-learned-a-lot-from-the-dallas-cowboys-cheerleaders-exclusive-11899432\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CeeDee Lamb<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>The brothers and their father started a foundation to help prevent homelessness<\/h2>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/people.com\/thmb\/-sxtGdw8uZjF3TWySYR7oSbT6zs=\/fit-in\/640x480\/caleb-downs-family-instagram-091026-6327de16e4674a25a50f288bfa4ce62a.jpg\" alt=\"The Downs family.Credit: Caleb Downs\/Instagram\" title=\"Caleb Downs with his family\" \/><figcaption><i>The Downs family.<br \/>Credit: Caleb Downs\/Instagram<\/i><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In 2024, Gary, Caleb and Josh formed the Trust Downs Foundation, which works to combat \u201chomelessness in Indianapolis, Atlanta, and Columbus,\u201d according to the organization\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/trustdownsfoundation.org\/about\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough funding, resources, and platform visibility, the Foundation supports organizations that provide shelter and essential services to those in need,\u201d the foundation\u2019s bio reads. \u201cAs part of their long-term vision, the Foundation also offers a scholarship fund to uplift youth facing financial and personal hardships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, the foundation has put on a number of fundraisers, football camps and food\/clothing drives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHomelessness is a huge cause and a huge thing in America,\u201d Josh said in July 2025 after a fundraiser to benefit the Huckleberry House in Columbus, Ohio, per <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/247sports.com\/college\/ohio-state\/article\/ohio-state-football-caleb-downs-josh-downs-team-up-to-tackle-homelessness-hartford-mcclain-having-strong-summers-251763991\/\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"null\">Bucknuts<\/a>. \u201cSo, we feel like with the resources we\u2019ve been blessed with, we can help give back to the community in any way possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Kameron played soccer for Kennesaw State University<\/h2>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/people.com\/thmb\/tmrZyTbWUQgaDzfWNCFm6TRTrKU=\/fit-in\/640x480\/caleb-downs-family-instagram-2-091026-96f97b1792d84de1a2c6edb74d4b36c6.jpg\" alt=\"The Downs family.Credit: Caleb Downs\/Instagram\" title=\"Caleb Downs with his family\" \/><figcaption><i>The Downs family.<br \/>Credit: Caleb Downs\/Instagram<\/i><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Josh and Caleb\u2019s older sister, Kameron, is an athlete in her own right. She was a forward for the Kennesaw State Owls women\u2019s soccer team at Kennesaw State University, where she majored in biochemistry.<\/p>\n<p>Kameron followed in the footsteps of her mom, Tanya, who played soccer from \u201cchildhood through high school,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/stories\/college-football\/obsession-built-caleb-downs-made-him-college-footballs-top-defender\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fox Sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>She is currently attending medical school<\/h2>\n<p>According to a May 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CO5idT8MzKR\/\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Instagram<\/a> post, Kameron graduated from Kennesaw State University with a B.S.<\/p>\n<p>She is currently a student at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, according to her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/kamerondowns\/\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Instagram<\/a> bio.
