I\u2019m not joking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cI had another pulmonary embolism. I was in the hospital for a week. But, take your medicine. So, I\u2019m taking my medicine every day, taking care of myself every day, and watching it. So, I mean, no symptoms came either, you know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/pulmonary-embolism\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20354647\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">The Mayo Clinic<\/a> defines a pulmonary embolism as \u201ca blood clot that blocks and stops blood flow to an artery in the lung.\u201d The condition can be fatal.<\/p>\n<p>Bosh, who retired from the league in 2019 due to his history of blood clots, doesn\u2019t want other players to go through what he has experienced.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/people.com\/thmb\/oMBGLUEZEmwXexZs49GTTQimcgU=\/fit-in\/1280x960\/Victor-Wembanyama-1-of-Team-Chuck-022025-9e420d4bdd1d4190a14fd1d65764991d.jpg\" alt=\"Victor Wembanyama, days before he was diagnosed with a blood clot in February 2025.Credit: Chris Schwegler\/NBAE via Getty\" title=\"Victor Wembanyama #1 of Team Chuck looks on during the NBA All-Star Practice as part of NBA All-Star Weekend on February 15, 2025 at Oakland Arena in Oakland, \" \/><figcaption><i>Victor Wembanyama, days before he was diagnosed with a blood clot in February 2025.<br \/>Credit: Chris Schwegler\/NBAE via Getty<\/i><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The same issue sidelined Wembanyama for much of the 2024-25 season.<\/p>\n<p>The 22-year-old French phenom was diagnosed with <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/deep-vein-thrombosis\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20352557\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">deep vein thrombosis<\/a> in his right shoulder. He received the diagnosis following the NBA All-Star Game in San Francisco in February 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>The 2024 Rookie of the Year started feeling symptoms, but thought he would feel better during the two days off after the All-Star Game, sources told ESPN at the time.
