She only spoke to confirm her identity and was not asked to enter any pleas, per the BBC.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, according to the <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wimbledonguardian.co.uk\/news\/26277810.wimbledon-school-crash-woman-due-appear-old-bailey\/\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>Wimbledon Guardian<\/em><\/a>, lawyers for Freemantle said that she would plead not guilty.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/people.com\/thmb\/sVjoWsTZKN07lkWcYGS75QM8pvs=\/fit-in\/1280x960\/study-preparatory-school-wimbledon-071426-836af8eae2864f52a18e4acefbb34894.jpg\" alt=\"The Study Preparatory School in Wimbledon, LondonCredit: Google\" title=\"The Study Preparatory School in Wimbledon, London\" \/><figcaption><i>The Study Preparatory School in Wimbledon, London<br \/>Credit: Google<\/i><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Freemantle has been accused of killing the girls, as well as causing serious injury to Smera Chohan, Nuria\u2019s mother, and Tamsyn Van De Vyver, the mother of another student.<\/p>\n<p>Also injured in the crash were another mother and her 7-month-old infant, as well as two 8-year-old girls and a 7-year-old girl, the BBC reported.<\/p>\n<p>The case is set to go to trial on Sept. 6, 2027, per the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>Originally, in June 2024, it was decided that no further action would be taken against Freemantle.<\/p>\n<p>Per the <em>Wimbledon Guardian<\/em>, police said the driver of the car had suffered an epileptic seizure and wouldn\u2019t face any criminal charges.<\/p>\n<p>However, the families of Nuria and Selena raised concerns, prompting the Met Police\u2019s Specialist Crime Review Group to review the initial probe and then reinvestigate the crash, the police said in May.<\/p>\n<p>Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? The body is exploring complaints against 11 officers, with five of them being investigated for gross misconduct.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile it is right that this matter be independently scrutinized, we are sorry for how we initially dealt with the incident and for the impact on those affected,\u201d Cdr.
