data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jack Osbourne<\/a> says he and his wife \u201cdon\u2019t do the nanny thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While stepping out at Emmy Nominees Night in Los Angeles on Saturday, Sept. 12, the 40-year-old <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/jack-osbourne-kids-everything-to-know-11864060\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">father of five<\/a> and his wife, <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/all-about-jack-osbourne-wife-aree-osbourne-11924687\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aree Osbourne<\/a> (n\u00e9e Gearhart), revealed to PEOPLE that they do not employ a nanny to help care for their children.<\/p>\n<p>Aree, 35, and Jack, the son of <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tag\/sharon-osbourne\/\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sharon Osbourne<\/a> and <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tag\/ozzy-osbourne\/\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ozzy Osbourne<\/a>, share two daughters: Maple, 4, and Ozzy, 6 months. <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/the-osbournes-then-and-now-11777134\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"3\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>The Osbournes<\/em><\/a> alum also shares three children \u2014 Pearl, 14, Andy, 11, and Minnie, 8 \u2014 with his ex-wife, <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tv\/jack-osbourne-estranged-wife-lisa-finalize-divorce\/\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"4\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lisa Stelly<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Speaking with PEOPLE at Saturday\u2019s <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/emmys-2026-nominations-list-12013678\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2026 Emmy Awards<\/a> pre-party, which was co-hosted by <em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> and SAG-AFTRA at the Chateau Marmont, Jack and Aree shared that a nanny is not part of their parenting toolkit.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" Osbourne\/Instagram<\/i><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Asked about juggling family life since welcoming Ozzy \u2014 who was named for Jack\u2019s late rocker father \u2014 in March, Aree said, \u201cI think we did okay. I don\u2019t feel overly overwhelmed, I guess.\u201d Jack then agreed with his wife, revealing, \u201cYeah, and we\u2019re kind of gnarly in the sense that we don\u2019t have a nanny.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aree is a \u201cfull stay-at-home mom,\u201d she noted before her <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@jackosbourne\/videos\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">podcast host<\/a> husband continued, \u201cYeah. So we don\u2019t do the nanny thing, and so I thought it was going to be way gnarlier than it is, but you find a rhythm.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The couple also shared more insight into their 4-year-old daughter Maple\u2019s first day of preschool, which was just two days earlier.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was great. Yeah. There were no tears,\u201d Jack told PEOPLE of the big day, while Aree said, \u201cYeah, it was kind of like, \u2018Bye, get out of here.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for their youngest daughter, Ozzy, the proud mom added, \u201cShe\u2019s doing great. She\u2019s the best. The couple <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tv\/jack-osbourne-is-engaged-to-aree-gearhart-couldnt-be-happier\/\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">got engaged<\/a> in December 2021 and <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/jack-osbourne-fiancee-aree-gearhart-married-7509548\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tied the knot<\/a> less than two years later on Sept. 14, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Per Jack, the couple\u2019s outing at the pre-Emmys event on Saturday was an \u201canniversary date night,\u201d as he is \u201cout of town\u201d for their actual anniversary on Monday, Sept. 14. \u201cIt\u2019s great to be out. I don\u2019t really pop out to events too often,\u201d the former reality star told PEOPLE at the star-studded event. \u201cAnd I got invited, and I was like, \u2018Yeah, why not? Let\u2019s go to the Hollywood party, Emmy party. Why not?\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also at the event, <em>The Osbournes<\/em> star reflected on the fact that at 14, his eldest child, Pearl, is already older than he was when he first appeared in his family\u2019s reality TV show<em> <\/em>alongside his parents and sister <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tag\/kelly-osbourne\/\" data-type=\"\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kelly Osbourne<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on the legacy of the series, which turns 25 next year, Jack told PEOPLE that \u201cin the moment, I totally didn\u2019t respect what it was I was a part of since I was a teenager. My eldest daughter is one year younger than I was when we started the show. \u2026 So that puts things into perspective.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for how he and his family are doing in the wake of his <a class=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/ozzy-osbourne-black-sabbath-rocker-dead-7502904\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"null\">father\u2019s death<\/a> last July, Jack said, \u201cWe\u2019re doing all right. We\u2019re hanging in there. There\u2019s a lot going on, and we\u2019re just coming together as a family and just handling it.
